His talent agency, Carey Dodd Associates, used a platform called X (which used to be called Twitter) to let everyone know about his death. They wrote a message saying they’re very sad to share that Darren Kent, who was their friend and client, has passed away. He was surrounded by his parents and best friend. They’re thinking about his family and sending love during this tough time. The agency didn’t say what was wrong with him.

Mr. Kent, who resided in Southend-on-Sea, also held a position as a patron for Equal People Performing Arts. This charity works to encourage inclusion in the performing arts.

Mr. Kent was known for constantly dedicating his time to others and consistently displaying a positive attitude.

Darren Kent was born and raised in Essex. He finished his schooling at Italia Conti in 2007. He started his acting journey with a scary movie called “Mirrors” in 2008. After that, he got a small part in Game of Thrones, where he played a goatherd in Slavers Bay. In 2023, he acted in a movie called “Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves,” where he played a character who comes back to life after death.

Even though his part in the show wasn’t big, it had a significant meaning. Darren Kent played a goatherd in the last episode of Season 4 of the fantasy show ‘Game of Thrones’, which was called ‘The Children’. In this role, his character came in front of Daenerys to show her how much harm her dragons were causing to the world.

In a short yet touching scene, he showed up with the burned body of his 3-year-old daughter to the queen’s throne. He wanted to show how much trouble her dragons were causing for the people. This meeting with the queen made her decide to chain up two of her dragons so they wouldn’t hurt anyone again.

He has been a part of many different projects like “Snow White and the Huntsman,” “Marshal’s Law,” “Bloody Cuts,” “The Frankenstein Chronicles,” “Blood Drive,” “Les Misérables,” “Green Fingers,” “EastEnders,” “Happy Hours,” “Love Without Walls,” and “Birds Sorrow.”

He got his first important role in the horror movie ‘Mirrors’ in 2008. Recently, he played the part of a reanimated corpse in the movie ‘Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves’.

In 2012, Darren Kent earned the best actor award at the Van D’or Awards for his role as Danny in the movie “Sunny Boy.” Danny was a young boy who couldn’t be in the sun due to a rare skin condition. What’s intriguing is that Darren personally dealt with similar challenges, having a skin disorder, osteoporosis, and arthritis, just like his character in the film.

Beyond acting, Darren was also skilled as a writer and director. He directed a short film named “You Know Me” in 2021, and it even received recognition with a January Award.

Kent faced multiple ongoing health challenges, including conditions like arthritis, osteoporosis, and a unique skin disorder.

He will be remembered not just for his talent, but also as a kind and giving friend.
