To be eligible for the RBI Assistant Recruitment 2023, candidates must meet certain criteria. Only individuals who are citizens of India or subjects of Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibetan refugees who arrived in India before January 1, 1962, are eligible to apply for this recruitment drive. Additionally, people of Indian origin who have migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, as well as East African countries such as Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India can also apply for this opportunity.

Candidates applying for the RBI Assistant Recruitment 2023 must adhere to specific age and educational qualifications. The age criteria are as follows:

  • Minimum age: 20 years
  • Maximum age: 28 years (as of September 1, 2023, with a birthdate between September 2, 1995, and September 1, 2003).

Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for reserved category candidates.

In terms of educational qualifications, applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50 percent marks in aggregate. Candidates need to have obtained their bachelor’s degree by September 1, 2023. However, SC, ST, and PwD candidates have no minimum marks requirement but should possess a bachelor’s degree in a pass class.

Ex-servicemen must have either a graduation or matriculation or an equivalent examination along with a minimum of 15 years of defense service.

Additionally, candidates applying for a post in a particular recruiting office must demonstrate proficiency in the language of the state falling under that recruiting office.

The RBI Assistant Recruitment 2023 involves a selection process that includes the following stages:

  1. Preliminary examination
  2. Main examination
  3. Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

Candidates who qualify in the main examination will need to undergo a language proficiency test in the official/local language(s) of the concerned state.

  • SC/ST/PwBD/EXS: Rs 50 plus 18 percent GST
  • GEN/OBC/EWS: Rs 450 plus 18 percent GST
