PM Modi’s Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign Sees Over 40 Million Selfies Uploaded on Government Portal

Approximately 1,800 special guests from different parts of India will be coming to the famous Red Fort in Delhi to join Prime Minister Modi for the Independence Day flag-raising ceremony.

The special website created by the central government for the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign has gotten over 40 million selfies from folks across the country. This campaign will happen from August 13th to 15th while India celebrates its 77th Independence Day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited everyone across the country to attend the event ahead of the anniversary celebrations. On social media, the Prime Minister requested people to set the national flag as their profile picture. He called it a special effort before the important day.

The Har Ghar Tiranga website has a new look now. It’s showing that the government has collected a really big number of selfies – 43,644,013 to be exact – where people are holding the Indian flag. On the website’s main page, they’ve changed things a bit and added a button that lets you upload your own selfie with the flag.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants us all to be a part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ movement. He’s asking citizens to share their photos holding the Indian flag on the special website. You have the chance to upload your own selfie on the Har Ghar Tiranga website. This special effort is connected to the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence in 2022, organized by the ministry.

On Twitter, PM Modi shared a message. He said that the Indian flag represents our freedom and togetherness. The flag is important to all Indians, making us feel connected and motivated to help our country grow. He’s asking everyone to be a part of the #HargharTiranga movement from August 13th to 15th.

On Sunday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath started the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. He raised the Indian flag at the Gorakhnath temple area in Gorakhpur. Yogi Adityanath, who is also the head priest of the Gorakhnath Temple, took a selfie with the flag. He asked everyone to be a part of this campaign that began just before the 77th Independence Day.

You have the chance to upload your picture at this web address. This is where you can put up your photo while holding the Indian flag. ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a special plan started by the Ministry of Culture to celebrate the important Amrit Mahotsav of Independence in 2022. The ministry made a website called Har Ghar Tiranga, where Indian citizens can put up the national flag and also share their selfies with the flag.

To upload a selfie with the Indian flag, you can follow these steps on the Har Ghar Tiranga website:

  1. First, click on the button that says ‘Upload Selfie with Flag’. You’ll find this option on the main page of the website.
  2. When you do that, a small box will pop up on the website. In that box, you can type your name.
  3. Now, you can upload the selfie you took with the tricolor flag. There’s a place where you can drag and drop your photo.
  4. After you’ve done that, press the ‘Submit’ button. It’s important to know that before uploading, you’ll need to agree to let them use your name and photo on the ‘hargartiranga.com’ website.

 

This webpage also lets you search for your Tiranga selfie. It says that if you can’t see your selfie, you’ll be able to see it starting from August 16, 2023, at 8:00 AM.
