Instead, he found himself in a comical situation when he had to chase the ball all the way to the boundary ropes after the batsman managed to fend off his delivery. This amusing display of effort by Siraj had both Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill, who were fielding at first slips, bursting into fits of laughter as they watched Siraj’s spirited chase. Before the Asia Cup 2023 final began, there were concerns about the possibility of rain disrupting the match. However, the match unfolded in a manner that rendered the weather irrelevant, as the Sri Lankan team could only manage to score a meager 50 runs.
