Hyundai Motor India Posts Strong Performance in October

Hyundai Motor India, a leading player in the country’s automobile industry, displayed a robust performance in the month of October. The company reported impressive sales figures and continued to strengthen its position in the Indian automotive market. This success is a testament to Hyundai’s commitment to delivering quality vehicles and meeting the diverse needs of Indian consumers.

Hyundai Motor India’s stellar performance continued into the month of October, following an already impressive month in September. While the wholesale dispatches in October were slightly lower compared to the previous month, they remained robust and indicative of Hyundai’s strong presence in the Indian automobile market.

The total volume, which includes both domestic and export figures, saw a notable increase of 18.48%, reaching 68,728 units in October 2023 compared to 58,006 units in the same month the previous year. In September 2023, Hyundai recorded wholesale sales of 71,641 units, reflecting the company’s consistency in delivering strong numbers.

Hyundai’s domestic volume experienced a healthy growth of 14.84%, with 55,128 units sold in October 2023 compared to 48,001 units in the corresponding month of 2022. The export figures showed even more significant growth, surging by 35.93%, with 13,600 units exported in October 2023 compared to 10,005 units in the same month the previous year.

Tarun Garg, the Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motor India, commented on the remarkable performance, stating, “As we enter the peak of the festive season in India, Hyundai Motor India registered robust sales numbers of 55,128 units in the domestic market in the month of October.

The recent announcement of standardizing six airbags across all Hyundai models and variants has been extremely well received by our valued customers. Also, the supply situation is back to full normalcy, and our network is geared up to delight customers with the delivery of their favorite Hyundai cars.”

Hyundai offers a diverse range of 13 models in the Indian market, catering to a variety of consumer preferences. These models include Grand i10 Nios, i20, i20 N-Line, Aura, Exter, Venue, Venue N-Line, Verna, Creta, Alcazar, Tucson, Kona Electric, and Ioniq 5.

The company has a vast network comprising 1,357 sales points and 1,535 service points across India, ensuring accessibility and convenience for its customers. Hyundai’s manufacturing facility located near Chennai now boasts an impressive annual installed production capacity of 820,000 units, reflecting the brand’s commitment to fulfilling the growing demand for its vehicles.

Furthermore, Hyundai’s global presence is strengthened through its export operations, with cars being shipped to as many as 88 countries across regions like Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, Australia, and the Asia-Pacific, all originating from India. This expansive export strategy reinforces Hyundai’s reputation as a global automotive player while contributing to India’s position as an automotive manufacturing hub.
