Real Sociedad seized an early lead just five minutes into the game, courtesy of a connection between former Madrid player Take Kubo and Ander Barrenetxea. Barrenetxea found the net on the rebound after keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga’s remarkable save.

Federico Valverde equalized for Real Madrid in the early moments of the second half with a powerful shot from the edge of the box that struck the left post and went in, marking his first goal of the season.

Reflecting on the match, Valverde expressed, “The best thing we did was try. They had a lot of chances, and the first one they had they scored. But we always kept trying, the goal right at the start of the second half helped us to keep pushing… Whatever I can do to contribute, I’m happy.”

Joselu then put Real Madrid in the lead with a commanding header, capitalizing on a precise cross from Fran Garcia from the left wing, marking the 60th-minute goal.

Summer signing Joselu shared his thoughts on the match, saying, “Any team in the league can hurt you, we have to correct things because we conceded a goal very early on. But this is at the Bernabeu (Stadium) and with our fans we were able to turn it around. The goals that I score and help the team to earn points, that’s what makes me the happiest.”

Real Madrid’s upcoming fixtures include the start of their Champions League campaign with a home match against Union Berlin on Wednesday, followed by a league derby against Atletico Madrid.
